Review: The Lovers By Eden Bradley

Have you ever dreamed of having a single experience which would change you forever? I think I’d dreamed about exactly that sort of thing most of my life. In recent years I thought it was going to be about writing a New York Times best-seller. But a long time ago, before I lived through my teenage years and came out damaged on the other side, I thought it would be falling in love with a man and living happily ever after, like every other girl.
Who knew the one to change me would be a woman? But the story doesn’t end there. No, that in itself is a whole new beginning. Because right after I met Audrey, I met Jack.

 Review:
Wow this book was entertaining, sexy and HOT. It's a well written erotica fiction novel. In this story Bettina (main character) a quiet and shy girl unwillingly accepts an invitation to go to a fellow author's beach house for some R&R and to get some writing done. As she's meet her fellow roommates, she meets Audrey. A woman so beautiful that could possibly make the straightest of women question their sexuality. And that's what happens to Bettina. Never experiencing these feelings better, Bettina starts questioning herself what's going on inside her head and with her body. What was it about that woman that had her feeling all hot and bothered? Could she really go through these sexual feelings with this woman? Audrey being the sexually aggressive woman that she is decides she couldn't resist her lust towards Bettina and put them into action. Now having opened a new experience for Bettina it all becomes confusing. However if that doesn't confuse Bettina enough, in pops Jack. A man so handsome that you can't help but stare. People were drawn to him and he just belonged there. As the story continues and new beginning unfolds different feelings were revealed and situations progressed. Now not only does she have uncontrollable lusty feelings for Audrey, her feelings for Jack are much more intense.
With the way Eden writes this book, you automatically become drawn to Bettina's character. You begin rooting for her as she opens herself to new experiences. I for one hand has never met a woman that has made me question myself like Bettina did, but makes me question what if I did? And what's exactly how she felt. But as she starts opening herself to new experience, she becomes a stronger person. Someone that can decide what she wants and doesn't. In my opinion, what happened between her and Audrey was exactly what was suppose to happen so she can become who she's meant to be. This book was so good, I'm going to buy some more of her books on amazon. Most definite a "Sinfully Tasty Read"! This book will be released on November 2010. Go out and buy then!

Review: Shadow Of The Vampire

Vampire princess Alexia Feodorovna has been undead for 125 years, so it's been a while since any man has made her pulse race. Until Declan Black. One look at his bronzed body and a fire like no other consumes her. Then she discovers that he's a dragon lord come to take revenge on the vamps who killed his parents. And claim a crystal said to imbue its owner with incredible powers. Alexia is ordered to torture and kill the dragon lord. Yet with each reckless encounter, she finds herself consumed by his fiery passion. A passion Declan battles, as well. Will he be able to resist the fire of lust she kindles within him and keep revenge in his heart? Or will he risk everything to quench the burning desire and claim the vampire as his own?

Now I'm not really into Paranormal kind of books. But I'm going to be really honest. What brought my attention to the book was the cover. After I saw the cover I read the description and I was convinced. I had to read it.

So as my friend (Dee) wrote in her own review of "Shadow Of The Vampire", Reading this book is like watching a movie in your head. For every word I read I imagined a scene in my head. Meagan knows how to write a scene so well that you envision yourself in her book as an extra.

Well in "Shadow of the Vampire" Alexa and Declan were rivals, she was a vampire and he was a dragon. And they both were after each other for revenge and after a crystal that has magical powers. But things start slowly changing after Alexa captures Declan and basically holds him prisoner, but is he a prisoner of her desire? I can't write more without spoiling the book. But this is a MUST buy MUST read. It's definitely "A Sinfully Tasty Reads"!

Day 1 With Our Featured Author Brita Addams

I have had the awesome privilege of getting to know a brilliant author by the name of Brita Addams. She is such a gracious author giving of her time to help out a person if they need it. Which includes little ole me. She had asked me if I had a button she could post that stated I had reviewed her book (which I had done on my other blog). When I stated I didn't have any buttons yet she offered to make me a button if I so wished. I was truly touched by her offer. That like never happens to me. An author asked if I would like them to make my button. How could I refuse such a gracious offer like that. So needless to say that made me feel special. So when the girls and I decided to create this side blog (it just means apart from our main blogs) I thought what better person to kick off this new venture with than with Miss Brita Addams. When I sent her an e-mail last night I had my fingers crossed and hoped that I would just get a response. Not only did I get a response but I got it like within a half an hour of sending it. I just figured she would say something like "I am really flattered BUT..." Not because she would not care but just because I know her book just came out that same day and she would probably be so busy that doing anything right now would be a little to hard. Instead I got an e-mail with a book bloggers dream inside. Not only would she grant us an interview but she would help us with whatever we needed. I don't know about you but to me that was like an early Christmas day present. So here we now are having the rest of this week dedicated to this fabulous author. We start out with her first book in The Sapphire Club Series Serenity's Dream.

Blurb:
In 1814 London, Serenity, the long-estranged wife of Lucien Damrill, suddenly reappears after she hears of the sex club he owns. Rumors of his insatiable sexual appetites warm her body and her mind. She says craves his spankings, and the ecstasy of his lovemaking. But is this the real reason she's back or is it a well-thought out ruse?
Lucien Damrill, though mistrustful, is willing to take her at her word and institutes a spanking regimen that Serenity simply adores. Lucien’s sexual abilities are beyond her wildest dreams and soon they fall into a frenzied, erotic life with the Sapphire Club as their backdrop.
Bliss doesn’t last nearly long enough however. When someone from her past suddenly appears, her deceit is uncovered and soon her husband’s skepticism is accompanied by all-out apathy. Can they overcome the obstacles and create the life of which Serenity dreams?

EXCERPT:
Serenity’s Dream
Brita Addams
A somewhat disheveled Lucien Damrill entered the sanctified environs of his library, a well-outfitted cave for the bear he was becoming. It being Thursday, he’d just finished his usual session with Lady Amelie Foxworth, an insatiable beast of a woman, who could be thrashed bloody, fucked insensible and still beg for more. A more jaded woman he’d never met and he’d seen it all. He was tired, aroused and feeling rather beastly himself.
With a compelling need for the burn of his favorite libation, he walked directly to the rosewood sideboard and poured himself a generous measure of his finest French brandy. He turned to make his way to his desk when he was stopped in his tracks.
Before him, on a red and gold striped Hepplewhite chair sat someone whom he thought, nay, prayed never to see again. "How in bloody hell did you get in here?"
"Why, dear, is that any way to speak to your dearly beloved wife?"
Lucien cringed at the thought, feeling his aroused cock wither. "It is simply by an aberration that state exists between us. You are no more my wife than this glass is," he spat out, holding up his cut-glass snifter with the figure of a nude woman as the stem.
"It may surprise you to learn I have returned and wish to make up for all of the years I have neglected you."
Lucien affected a laugh, remembering how his beloved wife, the former Serenity Malin, had met him at the altar, stiffly consummated their union and promptly hied herself off to the country, where she’d resided uninterrupted for the last ten years.
"Serenity, dear, I have not felt neglected in the least. You really shouldn’t have troubled yourself with thoughts of my welfare, for I have given yours less thought than I would give a stranger. But wait, we are strangers, are we not?"
Serenity maintained a haughty mien. Lucien saw how her bottom lip quivered ever so slightly. Knowing his wife wasn’t given to dramatic displays, he knew he’d struck a chord.
He would also have been blind had he not noticed that in ten years his wife had matured into a rather lovely woman. Her chestnut hair was stylishly coiffed, with curls framing her heart-shaped face and tendrils flowing from the loose knot at the back of her head. Her breasts were nearly overflowing her bodice, making Lucien imagine releasing them from their bonds and burying his face between them. He quickly dismissed his licentious thoughts, remembering who this woman was and why he held not a single pleasant thought concerning her.
"I am serious, Lucien, I wish to be a real wife to you. That’s why I have come back." He felt her icy blue eyes follow him as he paced the room.
"It would have nothing to do with the fact I am now wealthy and you wish to relieve me of some of my wealth?"
"How can you say such things? You have always provided for my needs and I could ask for no more."
"Then why are you really here?"
"I have heard things about you and they intrigue me."
Lucien laughed again. "It seemed nothing about me ever intrigued you before. Why now?"
"Oh, but you are wrong, my dear. You have always fascinated me, but just recently I learned about the club and what you do here."
"The club? You have come back because of the club? Serenity, I have owned The Sapphire Club for five years and you have just heard of it? I must see to it my man of business does a better job of spreading the word." He was more suspect than ever since the club wasn’t news, unless of course, one had been living under a rock for five years.
"I was attending a house party in Yorkshire and overheard some gentlemen talking. They said some very provocative things, and I was fascinated to say the least."
"Provocative, you say. Such as?"
"Well, it would seem they were under the impression you ‘blister arses and fuck ‘em insensible.’ That’s an exact quote."
Lucien chuckled at hearing his once prim and proper wife cursing like a gob in a sleazy tavern. "Yes, that’s what I do, among other things and I have a very satisfying life doing so. I fail to see how that would be impetus for you to return to hearth and home."
"Well, when I learned of such things, I found I was curious. If you would perform such services for others, would you offer the same to me?"
If incredulity had a face, it would have been that of Lucien Damrill, for he was undoubtedly the very definition at that moment. "You wish to have your lily-white derriere paddled? My dear, pardon my foray down the path of skepticism, but as I recall, you had no interest in getting naked with me for any reason, a slight omission on your part when you accepted my marriage proposal, as I recall."
"I will admit I was willful." That earned her a loud snort. "I was wrong and I am willing to admit it. Many years have passed between then and now. I have changed. Then to hear you were so, ah, adventuresome, I simply couldn’t believe what I had heard."
Feeling his deuced body betraying him as he spoke, he continued to pace, albeit somewhat less comfortably. "I have created a place where people can come to fulfill their sexual fantasies. As you can see, I have done well, by myself, I will add. Why would I want to have you around my neck, when I worked so hard to forget I even had a wife?"
"I wish to be treated like one of your clients, Lucien. I wish to submit to you completely. I yearn for your discipline and I wish to your satisfy your sexual needs. I am desirous of being all you would wish in a wife. I have much to make up for."
"What has brought about this change of heart? You must admit it is suspect."
"I have been lonely all of these years. When I heard you owned a club where people could go to see their sexual fantasies become reality, I realized I have needs and wish to have them fulfilled. Who better to do that than my own husband?"
"You have sexual needs, Serenity? I find that extremely difficult to believe. You had no use for my cock in the time, albeit one night, we lived together in the holy state of matrimony. I have suspected you found your own fulfillment elsewhere in the time we have been apart."
"Have you, Lucien?"
"I’m a man, what would you think?" He waved his arm and sloshed some of his precious brandy onto the red, cream and blue Aubusson carpet.
"I have never begrudged you. I know I’ve not been a true wife to you, but I wish to change, if you will let me."
"So what you are telling me is you wish to be a wife to me in exchange for having your fantasies become realities?"
"Yes, dear. I believe you would find I am willing to do anything you ask. I have thought long and hard about this and I find the more I think of it the more I wish I’d never left you."
"This would have nothing to do with wanting children would it, because I have no interest in such things."
"No, Lucien, I am past my childbearing years; I was thirty on my last birthday. I gave up that dream about the same time I walked away from you and our marriage. I wish to come back and be a part of the life you have established for yourself."
Lucien’s head was pounding from the long hours he’d put in at the club and most particularly from the conversation he was having with his wife. Traitorously, his cock had heard every word, too, damn it.
It was most unexpected she should suddenly appear, here, at The Sapphire Club. Somehow he’d never imagined that would happen.
"Yes, I would imagine my wealth would appeal to you. The country estate wasn’t enough to entice you to remain there?"
"Lucien, don’t be cruel. I understand you don’t trust me, but I swear to you, I am telling you the truth. I only wish to be your wife in every sense and I ask you allow me to demonstrate my sincerity."
"Fine, if that’s what you wish, bend over the sofa and show me how sincere you really are."

Review Of Alice Clayton's Debut Novel The Unidentified Redhead

  • Paperback: 276 pages

    Blurb:
When Grace Sheridan returns to Los Angeles to become a working actor, it's a second shot at a life-long dream. With some help from her best friend and agent, that dream could become a reality, but at thirty-three, has Grace missed her chance at the big time? Will an unexpected sizzling romance with the entertainment industry's newest 'it' boy shine an uncomfortable spotlight on her life?

Alice Clayton spins a playful and erotic May to December romance in this, her debut novel. Clayton's funny, borderline neurotic heroine is perfect in her imperfections, and the off the charts sexual chemistry between her and her charming, yet blissfully unaware leading man are the true heart of The Unidentified Redhead. With laugh out loud dialogue and a super steamy romance that will get your heart racing, sneaking around in L.A. and dodging the Paparazzi has never been so fun.
June 11,2010 I received Alice Clayton's debut novel The Unidentified Redhead. Let me just tell you this book kept my attention the whole time. For a first time writer I find that to be an amazing talent.

This story has two great main characters Grace Sheridan and Jack Hamilton. You have Grace who wants to become a working actress and Jack the new "it" boy. When the two meet a great romance ensues. But all that glitters is not gold because Grace feels there is one "big" issue which is age. She is thirty three and Jack is a mere twenty four but when they get together all her fears seem to melt away. These two are supposed to be dodging the paparazzi but again when they get together they only have eyes for each other and damn anyone else who sees, much to the annoyance of Holly Jack's agent who is also Grace's Best friend. I love the fact that these two people don't feel like they need to have sex to have a good time. And trust me the not having sex part is just as HOT as the having sex parts....^_^. But I also feel the non-sex scenes as well as the actual sex scenes were very tastefully done. Everything in this book, in my opinion, flowed nicely. There was not a cavalcade of people that I needed to try and keep track of how they knew this person and how they knew that person. Through most of this story you have Grace, Jack, Holly, and Nick (who is their gay friend secretly crushing on Jack....lol). Then of course you do have some minor players but there is not enough of them that you feel overwhelmed. To me this book is a very sweet look into love at first sight. If you are looking for (in the words of the author herself ) "comedic erotica" or "funny smut" this book is for you. With that being said I would have to put this book at 18+ but again like I said I felt everything was tastefully written. On a scale from 1-10 I give this book a HUGE 10. It is a great read, one I could not put down. If this is only her debut novel I am dying to see what she comes out with next. And, just so you know if you like this story then you will be happy to know that this will indeed be a series. I for one can not wait to find out what other things Grace and Jack get themselves into.

    Review: Tempted By Megan Hart

I had everything a woman could want. My husband James. The house on the lake. My life. Our perfect life. And then Alex came to visit. The first time I saw my husband's best friend, I didn't like him. Didn't like how James changed when he was around, didn't like how his penetrating eyes followed me everywhere. But that didn't stop me from wanting him. And surprisingly, James didn't seem to mind. It was meant to be fun. Something the three of us shared for those hot summer weeks Alex stayed with us. Nobody was supposed to fall in or out of love. I didn't need another man, not even one who oozed sex like honey and knew all the secrets I didn't know, the secrets my husband hadn't shared. After all, we had a perfect life. I loved my husband. But I wasn't the only one.

I read this book in like 3 days. That's how good it was. I'm a big fan of erotica books so that's what caught my interest in this book. But this book is much more than that. This book had to do with a woman that was so in love with her husband that she would have never thought in her wildest dreams that she'd fall for any other man, let alone her husband's best friend. But this man was a man of mystery. A man every woman should stay away from, but never had the strength too. And she didn't have to. Because her husband was completely okay with it. Now with that much action could only cause one thing. Complications.
I really enjoyed this book. I wouldn't know what to do if caught in a situation like that. Because what would happen if I like the way the other guy "performed" better than my own husband. But then it defeats the purpose of cheating. But also it could leave you "tempted" to do it again. A good and interesting read.

    Review: Switch By Megan Hart

Don't think.Don't question.Just do.The anonymous note wasn't for me.Don't get me wrong, I'm not in the habit of reading other people's mail, but it was just a piece of paper with a few lines scrawled on it, clearly meant for the apartment upstairs. It looked so innocent, but decidedly— deliciously—it was not. Before replacing the note—and the ones that followed— in its rightful slot, I devoured its contents: suggestions, instructions, commands. Each was more daring, more intricate and more arousing than the last… and I followed them all to the letter. Before the notes, if a man had told me what to do, I'd have told him where to go. But submission is an art, and there's something oddly freeing about doing someone's bidding…especially when it feels so very, very good. But I find that the more I surrender, the more powerful I feel—so it's time to switch up roles.
We play by my rules now.

I can't really talk about this book without giving you spoilers. So I'll be brief. I've read 3 books by Megan Hart and this one is my second best next to "Tempted". In "Switch" Paige (main character) had so many emotions going on that you felt them with her. She started receving notes in her mailbox telling her to do numerous things, however those notes weren't meant for her. It was meant for someone else in another apartment. But it kept arriving at her mailbox. So it became routine for her and she looked forward to her notes and looked forward to acting out what the notes said. I don't think I could have done that. I would have done what she said she would have done and told them where to go (By the book description). But for some reason she felt like she needed that and it helped her become the person she needed to be. Good book for those that enjoy erotic writing, but not too much over the edge.

Serenity's Dream is my first foray into the world of BDSM and blatant Voyeurism and I have to say it was a raw honest look into a different life style that before this book I really had no "real" knowledge of. Serenity and Lucien's estranged relationship took center stage over The Sapphire Club's members sexual fantasies. That is not to say you are able to forget "what" the club is actually there for but it becomes more of an awakening to Lucien and Serenity's feelings and desires. They each discover new fantasies that they never knew they wanted or needed. Serenity comes to Lucien as a woman and not a scared young woman who was afraid of sex and all that came with it. Lucien discovered he has the capacity to actually love someone and adore someone without it being a hazardous force in his life. They learn to trust in themselves and each other. I was so consumed by this couple that their needs and desires became natural and not so foreign to me anymore. It became more of an extension of their love and commitment to each other. I for one can not wait to read Lord Decadent's Obsession and Chocolate, Tea And The Duchess the next two installments in this very erotic series. This book was a very HOT and STEAMY read and it let me throw my inhibitions to the wind. On a scale of 1-10 I give this book a 10. If you are looking for an erotic tale that will give you a voyeuristic look into the fantasies of others and possibly shed a little light on your "secret" desires then you need to read Serenity's Dream. Oh, you might want to keep a little fan handy for when the book gets a little HOT....^_^.
